Please hear me out on this and reply; House sets up repeal vote Republican majority says vote will happen regardless of Senate's stance. The new Republican House majority has made repealing the health-care law its first item of legislative business. The debate is expected to begin next week, and it is largely symbolic. Democrats still control the Senate and have said they will quash the effort. Even if they did not, President Obama would likely veto an effort to repeal his landmark law. Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), the incoming House majority leader, defended his decision to hold a vote anyway during a press conference Tuesday. "The American people are expecting quick action from the Republican majority," he said. "The important thing right now is to make sure we send a repeal bill across the floor.... The Senate can serve as a cul-de-sac if that's what it wants to be." Many Republican freshmen made campaign promises to vote for repeal. -- Ambreen Ali, Congress.org There's been sufficient time now to read those um-teen pages in the Health Care Bill. Why can't the house make some revisions to the original bill, which I'm sure needs it, and submit it to the senate with changes that appeal to both parties, isn't that what compromise is all about? If it gets through both houses and Obama vetoes it we'll all know where he stands, behind Pelosi's' skirt tail and up Reeds __ _ _!

I found 'alike' minded member on the forum:
lensmanicu
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As the Dem's strive to push the deal their way as they have done since Obama took office. I feel like the Republicans just need to stick to their guns and when they take back the house in January then get the deal that's best for the American people. We need to get back to give and take to compromise so that we get the best of both thoughts no more ear marks, no more buying votes just good old bipartisan politics
Why can't politicians have the same 'common sense' this fellow does?

Proposed Amendment # 28 to the US Constitution?
"Congress shall make no law that applies to any citizen of the United States that does not apply equally to all US Senators and Representatives. Congress shall make no law that applies to any US Senator or Representative that does not apply equally to all citizens of the United States. All existing laws and regulations that do not meet these criteria shall be declared null and void!"

I would like to retire on that kinda pay. Even let my hubby serve a few year, but its to late in life for me.
Maybe I can snag a lawyer or better yet get me a senator. One thats been there for a few years. Whoopee!!!

But in her first extended response to the shooting — released hours before President Barack Obama was to visit Tucson — Palin said that “responsibility lies not collectively with all the citizens of a state, not with those who listen to talk radio, not with maps of swing districts used by both sides of the aisle, not with law-abiding citizens who respectfully exercise their First Amendment rights at campaign rallies, not with those who proudly voted in the last election.” Sarah Palin says the shooting in Tucson that left six people dead wasn't her fault; it was the act of one "deranged" man. and 'i' agree with her. There wasn't anything like this brought up in past political shootings, people now-a-days try to make too much out of nothing. It shows our hate and contemptment that's harbored in our mind & souls for whatever, wherever, whenever it has a chance to be released. Misplaced aggression! is all it is!

BREAKING NEWS!! To save the economy, in January 2011, the government will start deporting all of the old people (instead of illegals) in order to lower Social Insurance and Medicare costs. Obama said that will give decent housing for the illegals. And, since the dollar is not going to be worth anything anyway he won't have to watch "US" suffer. And the illegals will keep working because their too stupid to know they're getting paid worhtless paper. SOUND MADE UP? We'll see

The NRA and their allies (( 'i' was going to put the 2 pics of Sarah in here, but 'i' ?guess? 'U've already seen enough of them )) have so completely cowed our legislators and the public that the few desperate calls for serious gun control (( and what good whould that do? we got laws against illegal immigration and what do they do? )) (( WE GOT laws that's suppose to keep idiots like Jake from purchasing guns & amno, what good did that do/)) [[[[ Why make any more laws when 'we' can't enforce the ones' 'we' got]]]]in the wake of the Tucson shootings have been barely audible in the partisan shouting match that followed. This, despite the obvious fact that a lunatic like Loughner should never have been able to acquire a gun, let alone purchase high-volume ammo clips.
