Hurricane Isaac makes landfall in La.People play in the storm surge from Hurricane Isaac, on Lakeshore Drive along Lake Pontchartrain, as the storm nears land, in New Orleans, Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. A Category 1 hurricane with winds at 80 mph, Isaac came ashore at 6:45 p.m. CDT near the mouth of the Mississippi River in southeastern Louisiana, drenching a sparsely populated neck of land that stretches into the Gulf of Mexico. But the worst was still to come as it zeroed in on New Orleans, 75 miles to the northwest. www.windstream.net/news/read.php?rip_id=%3CDA0UNB602%40news.ap.org%3E&ps=1018I guess 80 mph doesn't scare them down there any more.. I be running as far as I could.. You'd think they would have learned a lesson after Hurricane Katrina. This is the seventh anniversary of Katrina.. Maybe some stayed to celebrate..
