www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/01/31/health.care.unconstitutional/index.html?hpt=C1U.S. District Judge Robert Vinson declared unconstitutional the key provision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act -- the so-called "individual mandate" requiring most Americans to buy health insurance by 2014 or face penalties. Vinson also declared unconstitutional the section of the act that withholds Medicare funds from states that refuse to participate. But unlike another federal judge who ruled the individual mandate unconstitutional last month, Vinson ruled that the unconstitutionality voided the entire act. Sounds like ObamaCare will eventually end up before the Supreme Court. Obama may discover the tongue lashing he gave the Justices during last year's Mistake of the Union Address may come back to haunt him.

Finally, some wrongs are getting made right. I've heard alot of discussion between co-workers that are upset by this ruling in Florida, I was really surprised. Then I realized that it was coming from those who have the "entitlement mentality." I gave them some credit due to the fact that they were at least trying to break free from the system by working, thus contributing to the tax system.
However, I heard one pregnant young lady say, "well, if they take back Obama's plan it'll be harder to get free stuff again, cuz i used to not qualify for assistance. Now I get medicaid, food stamps, WIC, housing assistance, HEAP (energy assistance), and cash assistance, but I don't get as much as my boyfriend (who hasn't worked in 2 yrs and lives with her). If things start getting reversed he'll have to get a job, and we'll lose so much free money."
She went on to complain that she only receives $80 per month for food stamps, and her boyfriend gets almost $200 per month, and how are they supposed to get all their food on less than $300 a month. I tried to tell her that it's called assistance because it's only to supplement your household needs, not pay for everything you use. She couldn't understand that and said she thought is was supposed to be like Medicaid where you don't have to pay for anything, the government pays for it all.
I'm sure this is only a sampling of the pervasive attitude that has been fostered by Obama's administration and encouraged by ObamaCare.
