If you live in the city of Greensburg and some areas of the county as mapped out by township.....washington township may apply to you. I have just gotten word that the above meeting is the County Council meeting. The Washington Board meeting will be at a later date.

This is the VIDEo and the AGENA of the Decatur County IN , Washington Township Board Meeting of 12/7/21. Minutes of the October 12th,2021 meeting and the meeting dates for 2022 are below the AGENDA. VIDEO: PART 1 OF 1 : www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5QFbETzlM8AGENDA: Pledge of Allegiance Previous Meeting Minutes Task Force Update Nepotism certifications 2022 Meeting dates 2022 Guidelines Salary Ordinance ADJOURN Meeting Minutes of the October 12th, 2021 Meeting : The October 12th, 2021 meeting was called to order by Jim Stewart at 2:00 PM. In attendance were Jodi Moore, Ed Dwenger, and James G. Stewart. Washington Twp. Trustee Christian Rust, Clerks Charity Wilder & Candee Redelman, and 8 members of the public. This meeting was appropriately advertised as required by state law. The previious minutes were available for public viewing. All board members were able to read the minutes from the previous meeting. Jim noted that Joni's nae was incorrect on the minutes that he had and Charity said that it was corrected on the copy to be signed. Joni made a motion to accept the minutes. Ed seconded. All were in favor. The 2022 budget was discussed by board member. Joni made a motion to pass the budget as presented. Ed seconded. Joni and Jim were in favor, Ed was opposed. A member of the public asked that in the future contracts be presented it to board for approval. It was explained to him that this is already the case and that the board did in fact agree to the contracts in question. Another member of the public asked why there was monies spent ahead of bond approval. It was explained to him that the board approved spending prior to voting on the bond and that at that time it was unanimous that the bond would be moving forward. The vote for the bond at that time was delayed pending a law change that would be more beneficial to the township to obtain the bond after July 2021. A third member of the community asked that things be more transparent and meeting minutes be more defined. A fourth community member asked where bond fees will be paid from. Christian explained that it was anticipated to be paid out of the bond once issued but at this time we may need to look at other options including an additional appropriation. There was no additional business. 2022 Washington Township Board Meeting Schedule Joni made a motion to adjourn at 2:47 pm. Ed seconded. All were in favor. January 4th, 2022 at 2 pm. March 8th, 2022 at 2 pm. May 10th, 2022 at 2 pm. July 19th, 2022 at 2 pm. September 13th, 2022 at 2 pm October 11th, 2022 at 2 pm. December 13th, 2022 at 2 pm. |
