'i' owned a Honda dealership for a few years - and this just like being a used car dealer ( which 'i' was also ) cast a bad reflection on all dealers - it only takes 1 bad apple to give the whole bushel a bad name. It's ashame it's that way but it is. ***Sweeper were you from generally, town & state?*** ....'i' live in Greensburg, IN, 50 miles from Cincinnati & Indianapolis ( just off I-74 ) - use to be the center of population - don't know where it is now!

Thomasville, GA presently. I bet the dealership pulls all their advertising dollars away from the local paper, simply for publishing this story. If that happens, I think all the locals should pull their car purchasing dollars from them. Kudos to the Thomasville Times-Enterprise for publishing the story despite the dealership's vindictive and bottom-feeding tactics. Moral of the story: If you don't want the HEADLINE don't do the CRIME. It shouldn't be that difficult to comprehend. These two "Good 'Ole Boys" need a SIGN!

If 'that paper' is anything like ( the local paper in this town ) it doesn't do any good to advertise in it anyway - no one reads it!

Then I would guess that the staff at your local paper aren't doing their job. The primary function of a local news paper is to be the local "watchdog" over local governement. Personally I've been very pleased with the coverage of touchy news stories locally. The TTE (Thomasville Times-Enterprise) isn't intimidated by local governmental officals nor by corrupt executives of institutions like the local hospital or wealthy business owners that threaten to remove their advertising or refuse to pay their outstanding advertising bills when their illegal activities are brought to light. I support my local paper. I remember an old saying... "You don't want to piss off the people that buy ink by the pound." well... The TTE probably buys ink by the ton. What I find interesting Hoosier is the position you take on a post concerning a car dealership that has been screwing the public for over a year. Lieing, telling their customers that they would pay off the trade-in and then not following through. Leaving the customer with a new car payment and a defaulted old car loan. Selling warranties and not providing them, selling insurance and not providing it. Fraud at it finest. Busted on the front page of our local paper and all you can come up with is how crappy your local paper is? Seriously though, I think the TTE shouldn't promote that business anymore. Why advertise a business that is knowingly screwing over the public? I think the TTE should make contact with the Honda Corporation and ask for their opinion on this story and see what the supplier has to say about the local business practices of their local dealership here in Tville. This story is far from over too. Hey Hoosier? Email your local paper the following address and tell them to take notes. LMAO ;D www.timesenterprise.com

Honestly Hoosier I said much more than that sentence fragment you quoted. My point was that your post appeared to be critizing your local paper which has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of the original post. I do wish people would comment on my post instead of a sentence fragment. However, for people to do that they would have to completely read my post and/or the story associated with the post to make a clear and concise reply. IE: Are you yet again asking me where I live? If so, if you would read my post just up the page you will see that I've already answered that. My point is this. The topic of the thread is about questionable business practices of a local Honda dealership in Thomasville, GA, not whether your local paper is doing it's job or not. However, that might be a good topic for its own thread. In other words...let's at least try and make an effort to stay on topic. It would probably make staying on topic easier if people would reply to a post instead of a few choice sentences or sentence fragments. and that's just my opinion.

More complaints, People come forward in case involving local dealership Complaints about a Thomasville automobile dealership continue to mount. The Thomas County Sheriff’s Office received 10 complaints Wednesday about Prestige Honda of Thomasville. Michael Craig Hornsby, a Tallahassee, Fla., resident and owner of the East Jackson Street business, and Jeffery Bellow Bryson, dealership general manager, have been charged with four counts each of felony theft by conversion. They were released on bond. The suspects were contracting to pay off money owed on trade-ins for new vehicles purchased at the dealership, said Lt. Steven Jones, sheriff’s office public information officer. Money owed on the trade-ins was not being paid as contracted in the financing arrangement, the officer explained. Wednesday complaints are about other trade-ins not being paid for. Another complaint of that type received Thursday morning has not been processed. More complaints have been received about vehicle insurance policies bought at the agency, but, Jones said, the policies were never purchased on behalf of the customers. OMG! I thought I was reading some of Ys post from back in the Martha days. That you Y? LOL I wonder who people will whine to now, if/when I finally decide to take admin-action on members accounts? Unlike the days of Hey Martha, there are no corporate suits, nor newspaper publishers, to call and complain to about arbitrary administration if/when I do. ASO has a "Private Message" feature. I suggest members use it. Keep the BS drama there please. Post on!
