I have seen this happen recently. I understand there is a fluctuation between winter and summer but this year it's been different than ever. the sun rising has moved to the south east some and sets a little further north west. Different than it ever has at this time of year. I haven't payed the much attention to midday but I think it's lower in the sky than it was last year. By the middle of this summer I'll be able to see exactly how much it's changed. Not anything you'd notice unless you payed particular attention to it as I have.
