The department of State - DOS - A department of the federal >executive branch< primarily responsible for making and conducting foreign policy. It is commonly called the State Department and is headed by the secretary of state.

The department of Justice - DOS - A department of the federal >executive branch<, headed by the attorney general, which administers the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), prosecutes violations of federal law, and is responsible for enforcing all civil rights legislation.

The department of Defense - DOD - A department of the federal >executive branch< entrusted with formulating military policies and maintaining American military forces. Its top official is the civilian secretary of defense.

The secretary of defense - The Secretary of Defense's power over the United States military is second only to that of the President.

Trey Gowdy releases his subpoena of Hillary Clinton in attempt to contradict her

The day after Hillary Rodham Clinton told CNN in a wide-ranging interview that “I’ve never had a subpoena,” Rep. Trey Gowdy released the subpoena he sent her in March.

Gowdy, chairman of the House Select Committee investigating the 2012 Benghazi attacks, claimed Clinton left him “no choice in order to correct the inaccuracy.”

Many of us who’ve been seeking the truth for two years about events that killed four Americans in Benghazi were frustrated (to say the least) by recent remarks, from within GOP ranks no less, suggesting this truth-seeking was political in nature. And no one could’ve been more frustrated than the chair of the House Select Committee on Benghazi himself, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.

Yesterday, a visibly frustrated and fired-up Gowdy unloaded. His message for fellow GOP members — both in Congress and the GOP presidential field — was clear: SHUT UP.
