Layered Mexican Bean Dip
Use a (4"-6") deep medium/large sized Microwave Safe Bowl:
32oz can REFRIED BEANS
1.5-2 lbs browned GROUND BEEF (turkey, sausage, or other ground meat of choice) use mexican or taco seasoning, if desired.
16-24oz SOUR CREAM
16-24oz SHREDDED CHEESE
16-24oz SALSA
1 bag of your favorite TORTILLA CHIPS
The amounts used are dependant upon ur likes/tastes
The key to this is just layering ingredients until you have made 2 complete layers or reached the top of the bowl. Don't overfill bowl, leave at least 1/2"-1" at top, because as it melts the soupy/juicy stuff will runoff.
Begin by evenly spreading 1/2 can of REFRIED BEANS into bottom of bowl,
Spoon in/Spread 1/2 amount of GROUND BEEF,
Spoon in/Spread 1/2 amount of SALSA,
Spoon in/Spread 1/2 amount of SOUR CREAM,
Spread 1/2 amount of SHREDDED CHEESE,
Evenly Spread remaining 1/2 of REFRIED BEANS,
followed by remaining 1/2 of GROUND BEEF,
followed by remaining 1/2 of SALSA,
followed by remaining 1/2 of SOUR CREAM,
and topping off with remaining SHREDDED CHEESE
Place cover over mixture and microwave for 10 minutes.
If you prefer, place mixture in oven-safe dish, no need to cover, bake at 350f for 20 minutes.
Using large spoon, serve dip into smaller bowls and serve with TORTILLA CHIPS
This is so delicious, and is filling enough to be a meal all by itself
Serving variations:
Spread FRITO-LAY chips on plate and spoon mixture over chips
or
Spread mixture on plate, add lettuce, tomatoes, onions, black olives, or any other "burrito" ingredients and eat with tortilla chips
MmmMmm...I need to go make some now
