As House leader of the republican controlled represented congress i would propose the following bill: Each party is to determine 2 candidates for each position based on 3 term, 2 term, and 1st term candidates, a vote off will select the winners, providing a special committee of 6 members to investigate the budget expenditures. "I" as leader of the house will be the 7th member ( beings I'm getting payed so much more for my position and I was voted in as such.) The house vote for the 2015 budget will be cut 10% across the board and this special committee will investigate further cuts for any and all appropriations. Upon their conclusions, each will be voted on by the house {in a timely fashion} and passed on to the senate for confirmation. [ This all should be decided by a majority decision ] and a veto by the president should institute a populace decision on the next national ballot.]((( this only seems natural and 'right' considering it is a government of the people , by the people, and for the people!))) *=* If we're too stupid to make our own decisions so be it *=* *=* The only initiate I would ever select to make my decisions for me is GOD *=* ~~~ Surely not Obama or whoever the next POTUS is!~~~
PS: "WE" must control our government or they will control "US" HH

The Basics of Modern Day Politics: The function of government has decentigraded into two major objectives, (1) the pursuit of power [theirs not the peoples] and quest for money [the peoples money]. Common sense and logic have eluded both parties instead of discussion and compromise, the refusal of such has reverted to congressional hearings for the purpose of filing federal law suits against each other. And these wind up tied in court and nothing ever being accomplished. The list is now at arms length!!! IRS, Benghazi, fast and furious, NSA, DOJ, executive overreach, political correctness, and now Gen. Petraeus. That could have successfully got us through both wars (Iraq and Afghanistan) if he'd been let do it.
Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but all that functions in government is the pursuit of power and the quest for money.
It seems like more and more news revolves around the Dems going after the GOP. Can't win elections? Tie them up in court!
