Hogs are castrated for a variety of reasons. Two of the primary reasons are to stop unwanted breeding and to improve the quality of the meat in animals raised for market. The process also improves the feed conversion rate, allowing a higher weight gain per pound of food consumed. Castrating hogs, especially when they are young, also helps to keep the males more docile and less likely to fight among themselves or pose a risk to the humans who come in contact with them.

My purpose for bringing this up is to introduce you to one of the best things you ever ate.
Hog Fries; Pig nuts;
Clean'm good and soak'm good in salt water overnight then either slice'm in half or /smash'm with a meat tenderizer
and soak them one more night.
Fry'm like you would chicken, make white gravy when you take'm out of the iron skillet, have the hot biscuits ready,
crumble one and put the hog fry next to it and cover with the gravy, honey or jelly the other'n. Have the fried potato's and onions ready to serve. You got the most delicious breakfast you'll ever eat.
Kentucky and Indian both have these 'specials', look them up on GOOGLE, or ask your -meat store for a pint.
I couldn't tell you about other states...But I'll bet Iowa knows!
The 30-second ad ‘Squeal’ featured Joni Ernst gazing into a camera and boasting of castrating hogs on the farm where she grew up. “So when I get to Washington, I’ll know how to cut pork,” she said. It showed images of pigs, then came her punchline. “Washington is full of big spenders. Let’s make ’em squeal.”
*=* I presume you get the indication? *=*
