Greensburg IN City Board of Aviation Commissioners Meeting of 3/3/22. NOTE: This video is a MUST WATCH! listen closely to the engineers report....it doesn't sound like the financing is going so well. There is a basic amount of money they get yearly from the FAA and some projects they are working towards could be worked on with this money. the board voted to pledge all that money to the runway to show they are serious about having a new runway. one of the board members made a comment he thought was funny about all the efforts they had made for the last 21 years to convince them they were serious about this runway . This comment in spite of the fact that 79 percent of the people of this community did not want this expansion. the engineer at one points said things that normally work smoothly don't for the Greensburg project. could there be a reason for that? some very unprofessional comments were made during this meeting. the rainy weather has caused them the financial problems and we are not through April yet. they have used 13 of their 15 percent contingency towards this. will the 3 percent get them through the spring rains? time will tell. Goddard, Haston & Beggs were also discussed and the President commented on a discussion with Goddards to him. I ask again....whose on first? NOTE: the position of the microphones in this meeting. see the one that is straight up.? i observed this person come in and the first thing he addressed was pushing that microphone away as far as he could so as to not be heard. just makes me wonder what he doesn't want people to hear. this is a sad action for an otherwise very professional board.
