President Barack Obama is planning to announce National Security Agency surveillance reforms that are "smart" and "the right thing to do," Attorney General Eric Holder told aides at a Justice Department senior staff meeting Tuesday, according to a DOJ official.
Obama is planning to make his speech laying out the proposed changes Friday in the Great Hall at Justice Department headquarters.
Holder told his aides that he was "more than pleased" to have the president deliver the address at the building known as "Main Justice," said the DOJ official, who asked not to be named. WHY?
