Justice Scalia on Kelo and Korematsu

In a recent speech in Hawaii, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia made some interesting predictions about two of the Supreme Court’s most notorious decisions: Kelo v. City of New London (2005), which ruled that government can condemn private property and give it to other private owners to promote “economic development,” and Korematsu v. United States (1944), which upheld the internment of over 100,000 Japanese-Americans in [[[concentration camps]]]] [(the fema fortresses)**] during World War II.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The largest park in the city that Democratic Representative Gabrielle Giffords resides lends itself towards being a depository where people may be held. \\\If the president is given the totalitarian authority to sequester, without legal representation, hundreds of thousands of residents for suspicious activity. Such activity includes opposing the government for unconstitutionally incarcerating family members without proof, reason, or shame.///
Randolph Park includes Reed Park Zoo as well as an eighteen hole golf course. It takes up one major city block. Its southeast corner is anchored by a police substation dawning a facade that resembles an iron shield. Actually, it is a shield. Surrounding this station is a waterway named “Citation Wash” that meets with a water reservoir directly behind the building. It is possible to open the flow of water into the wash. The result is a permanent water barrier against “terrorists” using vehicles as battering rams. This facility can then be considered a castle like fortress.
