These cops should be suspended until the investigation is concluded.
If found guilty of wrong-doing, then they should be terminated and they personally should be held liable for any and all court/legal expenses incurred by the local law enforcement agency that employed them.
Note to all cops that might read this. If I flip you the bird, that is my Constitutional Right of Free Speech/Expression. If it bothers you that much, just flip me off in return. But for grown men, cops even, to suggest that it is legal to stop someone for flipping the finger..... YOU BOYS NEED TO GROW UP! and take off those diapers and put your big-boy panties on.

I thought this story was from your neck of the woods Hoosier. Just quoting my post with no additional comments is very reminiscent of Hey Martha back in the day. I honestly never understood Y certain people would do that. Have you heard any additional information on this story in IN?

I haven't figured it out yet, I don't know what I'm doing? I was asking for 'info' not wanting to give it -reference or website.

Copied and pasted verbatim from the report filed by Officer Clinton of EPD:
B/M BLU SHIRT GRY SHORTS ON BIKE [08/13/2013 15:27:39 AHAYS] Officers stopped a George H. Madison 12-27-74 at Kathleen and S Weinbach Ave. Officers initially seen Mr. Madison on S Weinbach Ave at the intersection of S Weinbach Ave and E Riverside Dr. Officers were southbound on S Weinbach Ave and Mr. Madison was northbound on S Weinbach Ave. Officers stopped at the stop sign and proceded to turn left onto E Riverside Dr. Mr. Madison failed to stop on his bike and continued through the intersection. Mr. Madison then raised his right arm in a apparent aggravated manor at officers. Officers turned around and stopped Mr. Madison at Weinbach and Kathleen. Officers started to explain to Mr. Madison why he was being stopped. Mr. Madison quickly pulled out his cell phone and began making a phone call. Mr. Madison was advised to put his cell phone away while officers were attempting to speak with him about the incident. Mr. Madison refused to put his phone down and told officers to hold on a minute. Officer Clegg reached for Mr. Madison`s phone and Mr. Madison postured up and pulled his arm back in a aggressive manor. Officer Clegg pulled his taser out and told Mr. Madison to get on the ground. Once on the ground I (Officer Clifton) then placed Mr. Madison in handcuffs for safety reasons. Mr. Madison then advised his name and information for officers. Mr. Madison stated he was trying to call Billy Bolin or Adrian Brooks before speaking with officers. Officers explained to Mr. Madison we dont know who he is trying to call and maybe he was calling buddies over to come to the stop. Mr. Madison was unhandcuffed and officers finished explaining to Mr. Madison he is to follow all traffic laws on a bicycle while riding on the street. Mr. Madison was advised by raising his arm and making a gesture at officers after he failed to stop at the stop sign only drew attention to himself. Mr. Madison was released at that time. _end of file_
It seems to me that the cops were more pissed about the gesturing than the supposedly stop sign violation. again I say... Take off those diapers and put yer big boy panties on. *eye roll*
UPDATE: It appears that the Internal Affairs Investigation is over and no cops were found guilty of wrong-doing. Gotta love that Blue Wall of Silence and evidently the Good Ole Boy Network is alive and well in Indiana just like down here in Georgia.

Hey Administrator! This is more of my neck of the woods compared to Hillbilly's. I only heard about this from on here. Maybe I should go to McDonalds and hear what the coffee drinkers have to say. They seem to be the one to let you know what happens first hand.

My Aunt use to go to McDonalds in the mornings to find out all the 'local' news and she said she heard it all from who was screwing who to who got screwed. That's the way she put it. LOL She never was one for 'mincing words'. She was my mothers sister. On the other side of the family I got my uncles wife which is 99 years old and just as sassy as she was 50 years ago. They're all it takes to "Make your Day!"
