Based on theft charges, Carroll was booked into the Thomas County Jail. Items found at Carroll's home had been reported stolen from Thomas County locations, Turner said. THOMASVILLE — A Thomas County Sheriff’s Office deputy was fired after being cited by Georgia State Patrol for traffic violations in a wreck last week. The wreck was one of three — two in one day — in which Scott Law, 37, was involved, according to GSP and Thomasville Police Department (TPD) records. On Tuesday, May 17, GSP troopers charged Law with no tag and no helmet in an 8:05 p.m. motorcycle wreck on North Pinetree Boulevard. A GSP reports shows a 2008 Honda motorcycle operated by Law was traveling south on North Pine Tree when it left the road and went into a ditch, overturned and ejected Law and a five-year-old female passenger. Neither Law nor the passenger were wearing helmets, according to the GSP report. Law and the child were taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital. Two days later, on Thursday, May 19, at about 7 p.m., a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Law struck a streetside residential mailbox on Myrtle Drive. According to a TPD wreck report, Law told officers he was headed north on Myrtle when a southbound SUV ran the sheriff’s car he was driving off the road. The Crown Vic’s mirror struck a mailbox in the 300 block of Myrtle. About 9:35 the same night, TPD officers responded to the intersection of Partridge and Fontaine drives, where a 2008 Honda motorcycle driven by Law a curb and overturned, a TPD wreck report shows. Law was transported by private vehicle to Archbold. timesenterprise.com/homepage/x962122689/Accident-prone-deputy-fired

Out with the bad cops. In with the honorable cops. Kudos to the Thomas County Sheriff's Office for weeding out the crooked cops.
My time in Thomas county is nearing its end. Time to move on. :-)
Power to the people!

Just a quick response. I agree that there are a LOT of cops that think they are above but there are so many good ones that never get credit. Hey my hubs is a VOLUNTEER cop and he got a ticket for sure on hwy 19 lol. That particular cop gives his relatives tickets..atleast he is consistant. He had given my son one when he was racing to go to work on time..he is a nurse adn works in Meridian..on top of that his best friend was in their Emergency room with food trapped in his throat. Anyhoo, he dismissed the ticket when he found out later my son was a nurse but same time I worried my son would race to work again sometime since he didnt have to pay but luckily it woke him up to what coudl of happened so he has slowed it down a lot. My husband lets a lot of ppl go after he gives them a lecture because he can tell by way most are dressed that they are on their way to work and he knows how hard it is to make every dollar. He hopes by being nice to them..that they will remember that and keep it slow. Rather than angering ppl who will race again out of spite. We won't ever know if it works but he rests well at night lol.
