I say we should always consentrate on making a life; not a living. And yes, there is a difference.
We sometimes get so caught up with the job, paying bills, etc that we forget about making time for the things that matter. Now, put that potato chip bag down and play with your kids! ;D

A nice paycheck or a padded bank account offers opportunities for entertainment and attaining material things no doubt, but that doesn't always produce happiness. It may provide short term fun or happiness. As long as your basic needs are met, and you're sharing life with the ones you love - that's what i call true happiness

If you're not the materialistic type, then you wouldn't have the added stress of wanting the latest gadgets.

True happiness is not about getting, but about giving. Takes no money to be really happy. Many years ago I had an idea to give the gift of at least one smile a day to someone else. The "pay back" has been phenominal. Make your child smile. Give your grandchild a giggle. Have fun with a co-worker. Your life will never be the same again. The after effects of a smile last for a very long time.
