Most of these cantalopes aren't grown in Posey County, it Gibson County they come from.. Long ago the shipped these melons to the train in Posey County.. That is how they got there name POSEY COUNTY melons.

Wished I knew how you could tell if they have salmonella. These melons are picked and loaded by workers. Not machines!
