US Army pulling out of NASCAR

The decision comes as Minnesota Congresswoman Betty McCollum and Republican Rep. Jackson Kingston of Georgia are pushing an amendment that would prohibit military sponsorship of sports.

Budget cuts for the military are in the future and we all know it. Sponsoring sports is a cool way to get the organization in the public eye, BUT that's a LOT of money that would provide more for the safety and superiority of our troops. I would rather see that money spent on better weapons systems, better camo uniforms or even "comfort" items for the young troops today. OR they can add some of that "savings" to my retirement check!! ;D
