Ernest Borgnine, who died Sunday at 95. Borgnine died of renal failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with his wife and children at his side. He was born as Ermes Effron Borgnino. Actress Celeste Holm Celeste Holm, a versatile, bright-eyed blonde who soared to Broadway fame in "Oklahoma!" and won an Oscar in "Gentlemen's Agreement" but whose last years were filled with financial difficulty and estrangement from her sons, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, a relative said. Celeste was 95 when she died. Holm was also known for her untiring charity work — at one time she served on nine boards — and was a board member emeritus of the National Mental Health Association. She was once president of the Creative Arts Rehabilitation Center, which treats emotionally disturbed people using arts therapies. Over the years, she raised $20,000 for UNICEF by charging 50 cents apiece for autographs. Rest in peace Celste!

Kotter's' Horshack, Ron PalilloRon Palillo, the class clown from "Welcome Back, Kotter," has died. The actor best known as Arnold Horshack from the 1970s sitcom was 63. TMZ reports the cause of death was a heart attack. The actor was having difficulty early in the morning. His longtime partner, Joseph Gramm, a retired actor, called 911. The star was rushed to Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center by ambulance where he was pronounced dead. Palillo was best known for his role as a "Sweathog" at the remedial high school in the comedy. The University of Connecticut grad spent the last three years of his life teaching acting at the charter school G-Star Academy. Palillo moved to the gated community of Mirasol when he started teaching at the West Palm Beach charter school for students interested in TV and movies. The site adds that the star fell in love with the area after he performed in a play. God bless Ron Palillo! Rest in peace. He will be missed by many.
