I tell ya what, I am so sick and tired of hearing that no matter what business I call these days. And oh yea, even now at Wally World most of the groceries you buy are written in English and Spanish I don't know...... wait a minute yes, I do this is America, we speak English. If ya can't speak the language then learn how. I guarantee if I went to Mexico "illegally" to live they would not cater to me. I would learn the language. When I am out and about these days and see these mexicans here jibber jabbering, I look at them and say speak English or shut up. Yep I do it, it will probably get me in trouble some day but this is my country, English is my language. Thanks for letting me rant

Get on that Soap Box and Shout it out Loud Joyce! I couldn't agree more.
I noticed today that even on candy bars there is now the English side and Spanish side to the label.. Seriously people, if "they" come here cuz we r different, why do "they" work so hard to morph us into their old country? I have just about had it with this..
Just found out today that there is going to be a local referendum on our ballot asking to suspend the pledge of allegiance in school unless it will be done in English and then Spanish...OMG!
The only thing that would make this any better is... since we can't pray in schools we were at least allowed to stop at whatever time it is that Muslims stop to kneel and pray to Mecca! (and I'm being ever so sarcastic on that one) I think my head would just explode if that were to ever happen.
Sorry about that Joyce..I didn't mean to push you off the soap box..I don't know what came over me...here let me help you back on..

listen cybertaco, you can keep your grassyass if you can't say it in English! lol
You can certainly come in and share my country, but don't come here expecting me to change the way we conduct business - to make it more comfy for you here..If you wanna be more comfy.. LEARN ENGLISH FIRST and adapt to our ways. It's not that you aren't welcome but you voluntarily came here, we didn't invite you.
What made you wanna come here anyway, if all you wanna do is change it once you get here?

You want to really confuse a Spanish speaking person?
Speak Pig-Latin around 'em and notice the look on their face. Kinda comical. ;D

If it was left up to me there would be a wall so thick so high and so electrified if you got within 30 ft of it you would be shocked. If you want to come here that means ( I would think) you are wanting to better yourself and leave the place that has made you so unhappy. Just like any American can go say to France, Germany, Russia, but at the same time you would be expected to learn the language, follow their laws and if they catch you there illegally..well lets just say you wouldn't be getting food stamps, free health care, your future born children automatically made citizens. This is a screwed up system here in America

One of our local gas stations is losing business because the owner posted signs in Spanish for the non-English speaking customers. Needless to say, that kind of business just doesn't fly here in RedNeck Central!

I know that the English/Spanish mix is becoming a stark reality in the U.S. but that doesn't mean we have to like it or support it. I would prolly be one that would seek out a proud American business owner and reinvest in America with my loyal patronage.

When a nation tries to cater to everybody, it never works. Unless a stand is taken, we will continue to fall as a nation.
