Returning mums' pay doubled

IN a first for the Australian finance industry, Insurance Australia Group is doubling the salary of new mothers in its workforce for the first six weeks back in the job to entice them to return from maternity leave.

Dubbed the "welcome back payment", the six weeks of salary will be paid when the primary carer returns to work, effectively doubling their wages.
