Over the past few years I've received many emails asking questions about the administration of Hey Martha in the past. I simply ignored those requests for information back then.
However, my silence is now over.
I will attempt to answer any and all questions posted here that relate to the admin decisions made under the ID of Sweeper back then on the Hey Martha site.
This way people that have questions can ask them here and I will answer them to the best of my recollection. This way no one has to copy, edit, and paste my replies via emails.
Arbitrary enforcement:
I was accused many times of arbitrary enforcement of the ToS.
Let's examine that accusation.
1. Showing patience and not taking immediate admin action on every ID for every little infraction. ARBITRARY?
2. Taking admin action in a regional area of Martha per the request of a local publisher or a regional Moderator. ARBITRARY?
Usually the people whining about arbitrary enforcement equate to people who were on the receiving end of an admin decision. Usually related to a puppet master and their agenda with their socks.
I'm not against a member having a few different IDs.
I am against people having multitudes of puppets simply for the sake of sowing discord and creating forum drama.
When would I take admin action on accounts back then?
1. See #2 above.
2. When members used profanity towards or publicly insulted and disrespected our regional MODs.
Those were just a couple of the types of questions I receive.
I believe some people that started their own forums back then can understand the situation that many MODs and ADMINs face. I've even received a few apologetic emails from people that use to dislike Sweeper. Their exact words...."I now understand why you did what you did."
When it became evident to me back then that some of our most problematic members were actually company employees, I grew totally disgusted with the antics of both regular members that were "sue-happy" and company employees that were simply dumb-asses.
Anyway...
here's the chance many "Sweeper-Haters" have longed for.
