Why not let the people govern themselves and be held responsible for their own actions?

Rat, who would hold who responsible? There has to be some leadership, and in any society there are those with natural born leadership skills. I believe the key is holding leadership roles/responsibilities to a bare minimum, and accountability to maximum. Elections held more often, more issues on the ballot, less wording to the issues, less political correctness, and shorter term limits are just some ways to limit Government and keep it from getting out of control..exactly where it is now. What other ways do you see that we can take back America?

What other ways do you see that we can take back America? There will be leadership. There will have to be leadership or there will always be chaos ( worse than we have now ). I agree with everything else you have posted, but we don't need the Government to tell us how to live. To quit making laws on what we can and can't do within our own homes. The Federal Government just needs to take care of the security of this country and let the states govern themselves without interference from the Feds. The citizens of this country needs to grow up and start accepting responsibility for their own actions. Stop "babying" those that are able to work, but refuse to do so and living on government handouts. Those are the ones that can go live off of charity instead of the taxpayers. There are many legitimate people that need a helping hand from time to time for various reasons and prefer to work for a living. Those are the ones that should be getting help from the Government ( state level ). In other words, cut off those that refuse to work and use the funds for those that can work or is unable to work due to medical reasons. There is so much red tape that small businesses can't flourish or even get started. Cut out that red tape and let people start businesses that can help the economy, instead of tying them down. I personally know two people that was trying to start their own business, but they gave it up when they got buried in all of the red tape and was drowing in all of the fees. I have so much more to add, but my hands aren't working too good this morning and still waiting for the coffee to kick in. ;D |
