Melissa 'Missy' my daughter just turned forty
she considers "THAT age!" as getting old
But I'm sure *her hubby* still thinks she's sporty
and wouldn't trade her for a ton of gold
40 is still young nothing is failing or falling off yet
wait til she gets to be 65 and though she's still alive
one thing for sure and on that I'll make a bet
she'll feel different about 40 when she's sixty-five
Different ages have different drawbacks and advantages
Being about half-way or another way to say it
is the glass 1/2 full or 1/2 empty, depends on how she manges
her life from this point on and if she stays fit
Life is what you make of it so people say
with her attitude she'll have no problem making it from day to day

(Orlin Wagner/AP)The leaders of two organizations for gay Republicans responded to President Barack Obama's support for same-sex marriage Wednesday with backhanded compliments and criticism of the timing of the president's decision. "It is good to see that after intense political pressure that President Obama has finally come around to the Dick Cheney position on marriage equality," said Christopher Barron, chairman of GOProud, in a statement. He went on to say, "This is hardly a profile in courage by President Obama. For years now, President Obama has tried his hardest to have it both ways on this issue." All 'i' gota say is it's wrong to call it "Marriage!" I feel like "God" has left the [Nation]...now we're on our own!!!!!!

Stapp’s Circle S Ranch
Growing up, the only place I could see animals was at the Indianapolis Zoo. Now I’m not knocking the zoo—it’s a pretty spectacular place, but there is an experience in Decatur County that is one of a kind in the state of Indiana. Let me introduce you to the Stapp’s Circle S Ranch. Located off of Highway 46, this ranch allows guests to visit the vast array of friendly critters on the grounds as well as opportunities to pet and feed some of the animals. I had never been to the Ranch. I passed by it on my way to Batesville for a couple of years, but I never thought about stopping in. Originally, I had it in my mind that there were hardly any animals at all. I couldn’t be any more mistaken. Owner James Stapp claims that the ranch had humble beginnings as a petting zoo of farm animals for his grandchildren in 1998. As the years went on, the variety of animals grew, as well as the audience of the petting zoo. More schools were contacting the Stapp’s Circle S Ranch to bring their classes to see the animals. Word spread, and the ranch’s popularity grew. By 2008, the ranch was USDA approved and opened up to the public. All of the animals on the ranch are given by individuals or organizations. There is a partnership with a farm in Oklahoma where they can exchange different animals. Once I arrived to the Circle S Ranch, I met up with James to take a tour of the grounds. Visitors who wish to can walk the grounds, but I would encourage you to spend an extra $5 to take a ride on an antique tractor around the grounds to feed the animals. Our first stop was to visit the bears, Yogi and Boo Boo. These two loved to eat bread. Also in the long cage were three tigers, Rocky who is one years-old, Jasmine who is three and Belfry who is three. All of these large, threatening animals are actually very majestic and enjoy an audience. There are also plenty of bison roaming the fields of the farm. These large beasts were the slowest of the animals to follow the tractor. To most animals, the tractor means food so typically the animals race after the sight of the machine chugging along the trail. However, the bison realized that tractor would be waiting with corn no matter how slow they trekked across the field. Completely opposite from the bison were the dolly sheep and geese. At the first sight of the tractor, it was a mad dash to the stopping point of the tractor. For these creatures, this tractor not only signaled food, but also a loving touch from a stranger. Some of the other animals that you can see are Texas longhorns, blue channel and albino catfish, wolves, deer, chickens, llamas, donkeys, goats, camels, elk, a monkey, a ring-tailed lemer, reptiles, turkeys, peacocks and a coatimundi. Another highlight of my visit was the baby tiger. Although when I saw him, he was getting ready for his trip to his new home in Oklahoma. I’m a major cat lover, so I was pleasantly surprised that the baby tiger was as loving and playful as a cat. Another cat surprise was the one living with the chickens. It grew up in the hen pen and now it has become his home. It’s obvious that the staff love the animals. They love and care for them day in and day out. Because of their love of these creatures, they want to share the experience with visitors. The animals love the attention as they roam around in their open fields. I can’t even explain the connection I felt by being with these amazing creatures. I highly encourage you to pay them a visit! Make sure to visit their website www.stappscirclesranch.com/ and call 877-474-2327 to schedule your visit Monday through Friday. If you want a weekend getaway, drop by Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to tour the grounds. This is an experience that you want to share with your friends and family!

Subject: FW: Words of wisdom..................
There's so much to learn - I just wish I was a faster learner - below are the excerpts from chapel this morning that I shared with Beth…………………………..
"The most compelling point for a life of discipline (like washing my face every morning), character (like wearing my hair different every day), virtue (like wearing underwear-even if it’s hot pink), integrity(like not saying the last comment out loud), and self-control(like not eating donuts every morning for breakfast) is this: to the extent that you have these things you will be able to love and be loved, for to love is as if you could take your very self in your hands and give it to another person.(this can only be done through the realization that you yourself are not important-only with God are you somebody) But to give yourself in this way, you must first possess them yourself." (And how long does this usually take???)
The author is big on the value of fasting. I like this next part a lot. "Fasting doesn't have to involve food. You can fast from shopping, you can fast from complaining, you can fast from procrastination. You can fast from anything that causes you to become a slave of your temper, appetites or impulses." (So is this man telling me to give up my husband – terrific!)
In my opinion, the next one is why the United States of America is in such a dilemma right now. (Amen.)
"To love, we must be free. This is why there is such a poverty of love and dynamic relationships in our culture; because for those addicted to instant gratification, a lasting relationship is an impossible dream." (But…but…)
Discipline makes us free. It doesn't stifle us. It liberates us. Discipline is a contraction that produces an expansion. (This says it perfectly and takes us right back up to the top, “you must first possess ‘them’ yourself, to give ‘them’ away”.

Why should anyone care if a man wanted more than one wife? In some cultures it's that way, does that mean all our marriage laws should be changed to accommodate individual preferences? (((Everyone should have the right to live their own life the way they want to without the church, state, or government interfering))) ..in other words "COMPLETE CHAOS !"

In order for a democracy to work, it is important that the people have knowledge about the definition of democracy and how it works. Thus it is highly important for a country to have a relevant educated population in order for the democratic system to work. This is important because uneducated people tend to lean towards radical ideologies as these ideologies might seem to have a sufficient solution to the problems of the society, however what people usually fail to see or even ignore is that these solutions are based on suppression of other groups in society which usually doesn't affect the majority. Another important point in educating the people about the definition of democracy is that they usually tend to understand the word wrong. An example of that is that many people tend to regard democracy as a system where everything literally is allowed, this often leads to a complete chaos that devastates the order of the society rather than improving it and in that way, it leads to the opposite effect of the aims of democracy. *=* COMPLETE CHAOS! *=*

Bill Clinton May or May Not Have Called Obama an 'Amateur' By Alexander Abad-Santos | The Atlantic Wire – 6 hrs ago...
We'd totally loved Edward Klein's story of how Bill Clinton called Obama an "amateur" and told his wife to quit the amazing job she was doing as Secretary of State if, you know, the Clintons weren't denying the whole thing and Klein hadn't already written another Clinton-challenged book in the past. RELATED: The Absurd Fantasy of Conservatives Embracing Hillary Clinton
The New York Post being, well, The New York Post, is reporting Klein's account as if it were news even though they note that Bill Clinton's spokesperson called Klein, a former editor of the New York Times Magazine and Newsweek, "a known liar," that Hillary's spokesperson has come out against him, and that the White House has denied Klein's account. According to Klein (via The Post 's Carl Campanile), these are the types of conversations the Clintons were having at a gathering with some close friends:
“The economy’s a mess, it’s dead flat. America has lost its Triple-A rating . . . You know better than Obama does,” Bill said.
Bill Clinton insisted he had “no relationship” with Obama and had been consulted more frequently by his presidential successor, George W. Bush.
Obama, Bill Clinton said, “doesn’t know how to be president” and is “incompetent.”
But Hillary resisted the entreaties, according to two of the guests interviewed for the book.
“Why risk everything now?” a skeptical Hillary told her husband, emphasizing that she wanted to leave a legacy as secretary of state.
“Because,” Bill replied, his voice rising, “the country needs you!”
“The country needs us!” added Bill. True or not, those alleged conversations fit nicely with current political narratives like Bill Clinton wanting to call the shots for Obama's reelection campaign and Hillary, well, Hillary being badass and taking names.
