Whats the difference?
Why is it when a white person uses the word "nigger" he's called a racist?
The word "nigger" is derived from the word "negro" which is spanish for black/dark.
Why is a black person not labeled a racist when they use the term "cracker", "whitey" or "honkey"?
Why is it not racist for a black person to use the term "nigga" or "cracker" in their everyday speech or in the songs they produce to sell to our children be them black or white?
Whatcha think?

Why is it? 1 st - why is it that just came out of the 'blue' with no warning? maybe if 'i' knew that 'i' might be able to answer the question more intelligently. I think it first began before the civil war when 'we' still had slaves; there were good black people and bad [just like whites], the bad, lazy.obstinate ones that wanted to cause trouble-they were called niggers. I can remember my grandparents & parents saying their just niggers, while having the greatest respect for other blacks. They had them as share croppers and tentants. They also spoke of 'white trash', and had less regard for them than they did black people. In the 50's nigger was a common term used to describe black people, no offense meant. All it takes is people to make something out of nothing black or white. RIGHT?

I'm just curious why black people are not held to the same standards as white people are when one group calls the other racists.
If a white person uses the word nigga, they are labeled a racists.
If a black person uses the word honkey, cracker, nigga or whitey they are not labeled racists, but claim they are exercising their right to free speech and freedom of expression. They claim it to be "art" when words such as those are used in songs.....Whatever!
Call it what you want. I call it double standards. If white people are not allowed to us the word nigga without being labeled a racisits, then why are black people not labeled racists when they use words such as honkey, white bread, cracker, etc...
Why is it?

Pretty much the same reason that "The Black Congressional Caucus" is not unconstitutional, while at the same time, if I were to propose "The Caucasian Congressional Caucusa" I would be the immeadiate subject of at least 3 Congressiona investigations and Eric Holder would file charges against me before I could sit down. I have asked my friends of color and the general response boils down to the fact that their has always been a double standard when it comes to race. It's just that it is now "their turn". I did not realise that we got "turns". I thought that was what the Civil Rights Act of 1965 was supposed to fix. If we are going to add an amendment to theConstitution isn't it incumbent that we enforceit equally? Evidently not.
