NET HEAD - A nickname for IT professionals or any person who is so passionate about the Internet that he or she knows how to operate almost all of the programs and uses them for business or pleasure on a daily basis. There are a lot of heads hanging around, including bellhead, chiphead, gearhead, gopherhead, modemhead, penguinhead, propellerhead, and Web head.

Bellhead
A person involved with telephone networks or someone who thinks about networking from a circuit-switched point of view.
chiphead & gearhead - Another name for an old-time computer science engineer.
gopherhead & modemhead - Slang for one who is obsessed with Gopher sites. Gopher sites - pages are just lists of links either to other pages on the same site or pages on other sites. Unlike the World Wide Web there is no hypertext (still don't know what it is?)
Penguin Head - Dick Cheney , he's remanded to punditry forevermore.

Once upon a time, I was a net head. NO! seriously I wore it right under my hardhat in 40 degree temperatures. Kroger deli manufacturing and distribution plant, Greensburg, IN. ( better known as KB Foods ) I was the warehouse supervisor in charge of approx. 10 people when I started; 40 + on three regular shifts and a swing shift when I jumped up on the plant managers desk and told him to take the job and shove it up his a**! That's when I became a car dealer "No regrets"!
