11/15/2018 - Decatur County Community Schools Board
Doug Wilson, legal counsel for the district, presented the board with 2 resolutions to consider adopting related to renovation projects for each school building. The board voted to adopt each resolution. The first Resolution is Approving Preliminary Plans, Forms of Lease and Authorizing Publication of Notice of Hearing on Lease. The second resolution is related to Reapproving Formation of the Building Corporation. Based on passing the resolutions, the board will hold a Public Hearing on December 12th at 6:00 pm at the Central Office. The Public Hearing will be used to consider an additional appropriation in the amount not to exceed $20,100,000 for: renovation of and improvements to North Decatur Junior/Senior High School; renovation of and improvements to South Decatur Junior/Senior High School; renovation of and improvements to North Decatur Elementary School; and renovation of and improvements to South Decatur Elementary Schools. The total amount includes the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with the projects.
