I'll bet you're angry.
I'm angry too.
And not just about things not going well in the Church or bad liturgy and worse clergy, and not even just about the way the bishops are using YOUR money to advance the Democrats anti-Catholic, anti-American and anti-freedom agenda. (That's why I'm in Baltimore right now for our press conference tomorrow.)
But that's not why I'm angry.
I'm angry because of what's been done to Bp. Strickland. In case you didn't know, he's been removed by Pope Francis as bishop of Tyler, Texas. He's been stripped of his position. The man some people called "America's bishop," while still a bishop, no longer has a flock.
I'm angry, but I'm going to do something good with it.
What are you going to do?
Over the last two days I've seen too many people too angry to think straight. Like madmen, they've ranted and raved. They've plotted to "take down" the pope and the bishops. They've called for petitions and protests and placards. They've said foolish things like they're never going to Mass again, that they're going to stop being Catholic.
That's just what Satan wants.
He doesn't necessarily want us angry — because there can be constructive energy in properly focused anger. He wants us apathetic and just drifting through life, not caring about the problems, focused on our pleasure and our comfort. But if we ARE angry, he wants to make sure our anger is boiling all over the place, raging uncontrollably like a wildfire, lashing out at anything and everything EXCEPT the one thing it NEEDS to be focused on.
What Satan doesn't want you to do is focus on your relationship with God.
He wants you to either be apathetic or angry towards God, His Church and your fellow man. He wants you to either not think about Him, His Church and your brothers in Christ, or to think how much He's let you down with these awful bishops and this bad pope. He doesn't want you to think about how YOU can serve Him, His wounded Church and your hurting brothers right now.
It's easy to say, "Well, Bp. Such-and-Such let God down! And the pope is just as bad, and my priest is worse!" It's easy to point fingers at others.
Too easy.
"Thank you, Lord, that I am not like that tax collector!"
You need to do something. Something specific, something precise, something that takes the anger and focuses it on a task and ignores the horrible hurt that is happening to you. You need to make a plan and stick to it.
Do something good. Something that identifies the evil, stops the evil and replaces the evil with good.
And you HAVE. That's what you are doing. You support Church Militant and the Deposit of Faith Coalition. You support our press conferences — yes, press conferences PLURAL. The press conference TOMORROW in Baltimore isn't the first, and it WON'T be the last.
We — and that means YOU TOO because you've supported us and spread the word — are holding these press conferences to do one thing: to tell those who don't know what's going on. That's IT.
You and I know the truth about the collusion of government and the Catholic Church to advance an anti-American, anti-God, anti-freedom agenda. You know the truth. This time, we're focusing on climate change — how it's all just a cover for a Marxist takeover of America and the Church by those opposed to God.
You know the truth. But others DON'T.
Church Militant has a plan. And you are part of it. We've not wavered from the plan for over 17 years. The plan is simple: Help people be better Catholics.
If they are Catholic already, encourage them to become holier. If they aren't Catholic, encourage them to become Catholic — and then become holier.
That's why we're holding this press conference and why we'll be holding MORE. That's why we pray each day in our chapel for everyone, including our bishops and pope, and aren't going to stop. That's why we bring you news and commentary every single day.
You're angry? Good. That means you're awake. The vast majority of the world is asleep.
Now, I need you to do two things with that anger. And these are HARD things because they require you to sacrifice and master your emotions.
First, I need to PRAY for the success of our press conference. Pray that MANY non-Catholics see it and learn the TRUTH about the collusion between the Marxists in government and the Marxists in cassocks. Pray that we can get the message out.
Second, I need you to donate TODAY to support the conference. Donate so we can promote it widely. The conference doesn't end once the cameras have stopped rolling. Other media outfits can be informed. The video can be shared. We can go on interviews and talk-shows and so much more.
Donate so we can do that, and donate so that we can do the NEXT press conference and the one after that.
We will not change this overnight. It took decades, maybe even centuries, for things to get this bad. Wild anger isn't going to help. Calm, focused, dedicated action WILL.
You're angry? I'll bet you are. Do something GOOD with that anger.
Let the others curse the darkness.
Together, we will light a light.
