Flown in on the wings of a dove
probably fly out on buzzards of
the past, of this I just gest
we've had our day & passed the test
now ready to find peace and rest
in heaven with the rest of the best
Because of God's grace and forgiving
it's been a life well worth living.

Ya sure get Melancholy
a gloomy state of mind
that shows what you know
I didn't think it would show

Sometimes I take life serious
but for the most part
it goes it's way and I go mine
at least part of this will rhyme

Life close to 70 is no breeze
they call it the golden years
which is said only to deceive
what it's really like, so please

Live each day as if it's your last
enjoy your youth, don't live it too fast
have no regrets when your older
about anything you've left in the past

Enjoy all the things that count the most
and that's not money, success, and fame
it's living each day with what's felt in the heart
That's the best advice I can give to get you a good start

Before I die I'm about to tell you why
there'll still be a sunrise and birds
will still fly
the earth won't stop turning around and around
just from the absence of one dumb clown
people will all go about in the normal daily grind
not thinking about what they'll leave behind
for when it's over here and your do is done
will you be glad or sad when you meet the
next one?

I heard the colored people use it all the time for no-good black people, but I didn't associate it with the candy I liked with salted peanuts.

Show how often winning is never giving-up
for your future is not only trying to get by
it's cutting your own piece out of the sky
you 'not luck' determine how much is in your cup

Mind over matter, the use of willpower to overcome
physical problems is changing your state of mind
the more you experience it the more you'll find
the answer to your problems can have a good outcome

So be deliberate and conscious through life's journey
map the route, don't burn the bridges, plot the course
be forever thankful God is your main guiding force
and you'll win all the bouts and finish 1st in the tourney!
